Both UNH 餐厅 Halls, Holloway Commons 和 Philbrook Hall, have earned 4 out of 4 stars certification by the Green Restaurant Association® 和 we are so proud of this achievement! This makes UNH one of only two universities in the U.S. where all dining halls have 4 stars. Additionally, the UNH Dairy Bar 和 UNH Conferences 和 Catering are 3-Star Certified Green Restaurant®.
Through continued sustainability efforts, waste elimination, energy conservation, 和 extensive recycling, the dining halls 和 UNH Dairy Bar were able to meet the requirements for this honor. Some of the sustainability measures that the Green Restaurant Association focused on include:
- Conservation of energy
- Reducing water usage 和 food waste
- Vegetarian 和 vegan food options
- Using more reusables 和 environmentally friendly disposables
- Environmentally friendly buildings 和 furniture
